David Koo

David Koo, a product designer based in Hong Kong, specializes in people focused research, creative thinking for
market-oriented solutions and communication of brand values through product styling. His practice covers multi-national brands such as Philips, AT&T, Vtech, Doro, BT and Procter & Gamble.

Since the establishment of Kootouch, he captures and develops sparkling ideas by collaborating with internal and external design, research and engineering specialists.


Zheng Yawei
Researcher & designer
Master of Artistic Design, Product Design Research, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, 2004-2007
Ph.D. (Expected 09. 2011), School of Design, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University

Yawei, currently is a Ph.D. student at HK PolyU. Her research direction and interest is sustainable product design and Chinese traditional artifacts study. Prior to her Ph.D. study, she worked as research assistant and assistant lab manager for Asian Lifestyle Research Lab, School of Design, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She has been managing lab research projects focused on Chinese culture study.

As the co-founder of D.K. & Wei design, she plays an active role on bringing conceptual ideas into concrete product solutions based on people research and trend analysis.
